Some experiences in life feel like coming home.
Recently, I sat across from my mentor Krish (from the Learning Love Institute) for the first time in three months, and that's exactly what it felt like—coming home. The moment I settled into our conversation, this wave of relief washed over me. There's something deeply nourishing about being in the presence of someone who knows you inside out, possibly better than just about anybody else on the planet, and still holds you with so much love.
This is the true power of mentorship.
When you invite someone into your life in this way, the impact is profound, and the relationship you develop over time is there to support your growth and evolution.
I’ve been both a mentee and a mentor to many people, so I wanted to share my insights and talk more about this dynamic.
Let’s dive in!
When I use the word “mentorship” I'm talking about something that evolves naturally—a relationship built on guidance, influence, and direction from someone with more life experience.
Mentors can end up being your family members, such as grandparents, or teachers. Or, typically, they’re someone in your community who resonates with you. Someone you connect with to help coach you through challenges and someone who will listen to your struggles with compassion and understanding.
Interestingly, I never officially signed up with Krish to be my mentor. It's just what naturally emerged from our relationship, what I intuitively call him, because he embodies that role so perfectly.
If we look at history, mentorship was once the natural path for growth and learning. Before our modern fixation on higher education, people sought out those with wisdom and experience to guide them. It was how knowledge, skills, and wisdom were passed from generation to generation. Apprentices worked alongside masters, absorbing not just technical skills but ways of being, ways of seeing the world. There was a recognition that some knowledge can only be transmitted through relationships—through watching, listening, and being seen.
Don't get me wrong—I love learning! And I've taken countless courses (including online courses) and trainings over the years. But there's something irreplaceable about sitting across from someone who knows both the subject matter AND you.
When I think about mentorship, I think about influence, direction, and the passing on of experience. I think about someone who's walked the path before you, who's stumbled on the same stones and found their way through similar forests. Someone who can shine a light when you're in the dark.
What makes mentorship so powerful is the opportunity to learn from someone who has been there. They’ve gone through life phases, dug themselves out of tough situations, and now possess the hindsight and wisdom to make sense of it all. They simply see the bigger picture.
Krish is older than I am, with more life experience. He's journeyed deeper in the pursuit of intimacy—not just sexual intimacy (though that's a component), but emotional intimacy within himself, within his relationships, and within life itself.
Through his guidance, I've been able to accelerate my own growth, avoiding pitfalls he's already navigated and building on insights he's already earned.
That's the true gift of mentorship: learning from someone who has done their own inner work and can guide you through yours.
I've been working with Krish for 12-13 years now. Our relationship has ebbed and flowed over time—sometimes we don't talk for months, and other times, when I'm working through something particular, we connect regularly. But throughout it all, he has consistently mentored me both professionally and personally, and the depth of our connection continues to amaze me.
What makes this relationship so special is that he truly sees me—all of me. He sees my greatness, yes, but he also helps me hold my most tender and vulnerable places with compassion and love. I've laid bare my soul to this man (not physically, of course, but emotionally and spiritually), and there's nothing I can't say to him because I've pretty much said it all.
With Krish, I've learned to recognize patterns in myself that I might have spent decades discovering on my own. I've been challenged to look deeper, to question my assumptions, to grow in ways that would have been impossible in isolation.
The beauty of a long-term mentorship like this is the depth it creates. Trust builds over time. Understanding deepens. The relationship becomes a container that can hold both your magnificence and your messiness.
In a world that often feels superficial, there's profound healing in being truly known. This kind of relationship can’t be rushed—it takes time to build that level of trust and depth.
People often ask me about the difference between mentorship and therapy, especially when both relationships can involve deep personal work.
While therapy certainly has its place and value, mentorship offers something uniquely different. In traditional psychotherapy, practitioners typically maintain professional distance and rarely share personal experiences. The relationship, while caring, often maintains clear boundaries that separate the therapist's life from the client's.
What I find most impactful about mentorship—both receiving it from Krish and offering it to my clients—is the sharing of personal experience. When appropriate, I share my own journey, not as advice but as lived experience. This creates a more human connection, where clients understand that I'm walking the path alongside them, not observing from a theoretical distance.
This fosters a different energy between us. My clients see me as human. As I often say, "I'm teaching what I need to learn myself." I'm always on my own path of growth and evolution. This transparency creates a beautiful space for transformation—I'm not positioning myself as someone who has it all figured out (I never do!), but rather as someone who's a few steps ahead in certain areas and can offer a hand back.
The goal is to develop a connection where both people recognize each other's humanity.
Do you have someone like this in your life? Someone who sees both your greatness and your wounds and holds them both with equal care? If not, what might open up for you if you did?
My deepest passion, my greatest ambition, is to help people become more of who they were born to be. It's about unraveling the conditioning, the inheritance from our families, and the societal expectations that have been forced on us—peeling away the layers to reveal who we truly are underneath.
If you're drawn to wanting to be more authentically yourself, to walk your own individual path rather than the one laid out for you by family or society, then you're exactly the kind of person I love to work with!
In my mentorship work with clients, I bring an intuitive blend of the different modalities I've trained in—The Passion Test, Family Constellations, Breathwork, and Erotic Blueprints. To sum it all up: I’m a Life & Intimacy Coach. This holistic approach is unique and individual to each person, meeting them exactly where they are on their journey.
And to really dig deep, I often provide specific homework and practices between our sessions. Every session closes with a reflection on your greatest takeaways and plants seeds for you to think about before we meet again. Sometimes there will be exercises with your inner child or movement work with constellations—whatever will best support your journey.
I currently have three spots available for private coaching—an opportunity to experience the transformative power of mentorship for yourself for a low introductory rate.
My coaching package includes 10 hours that can be split into whatever increments work best for you. And I'm now including access to my Inspired Breath Breathwork Membership during the time we're working together. This is a special offering I'm thrilled to provide because I believe breathwork is so important for processing and integrating the insights that emerge during our sessions.
If you're feeling called to explore mentorship—to experience what it's like to be truly seen and supported on your journey of becoming more authentically yourself—I'd love to hear from you!
Simply reach out for a FREE 15-minute discovery call where we can explore if this kind of mentorship is right for you.
The journey to authenticity isn't about becoming someone new—it's about returning to who you've always been beneath the layers. And sometimes, the most valuable gift we can give ourselves is a guide who helps us find our way home.
